Thank you for your interest in No Fish In My Dish, the illustrated story that shows in less than 2,300 rhyming words how to save the ocean's fish. Currently, all rights are available.

I'm the author of six published books, including The Neatest Little Guide to Stock Market Investing, soon to be released in its third edition by Plume.

No Fish In My Dish is my first picture book. It's also my first book that rhymes. Those two qualities make it quite a departure from my previous titles. My agent has no appropriate industry contacts for a book of this type, so I've taken it upon myself to find it a good home.

Once you've read the book, you'll see that it's written in a cute style with cute pictures. However, its subject is real and very serious. The ocean's fish are in danger of disappearing.

Detailed books on the subject exist. Wonderful books written by brilliant marine biologists that will bring tears to your eyes are sitting in library databases across the world.

Unfortunately, few people are reading them. Nothing is changing.

The reason is that no books prior to No Fish In My Dish contain a clear, easy, effective solution that anybody can put into practice right now. It couldn't be simpler: for five days a week, don't eat fish. That's the book's message, as delivered by the unnamed main character:

Here you go, friend. Here is my wish:
For five days a week, say,
"No fish in my dish!"

"Why an unnamed main character?" you ask.

I left all of the characters unnamed because the issue is global. I didn't want to imply that the fish are disappearing due to overfishing in just China, say, or just the U.S. or Japan or Brazil or Italy.

The human population is at fault, not any one country's population. The largest consumers by country are China, the U.S., and Japan, so I'm focusing my initial efforts on those countries, but it's a worldwide issue.

I'm aware that you, as an acquisitions editor, need to show an editorial board that a market for this project exists. To help you with that, I've been gathering names on my no fish list of people who are committed to buying the book once it's published. I would be happy to provide you by email with the number of people on the list.

If you would like to know more or are interested in publishing the book, please email me.

I hope we can work together to provide your publishing house with a good investment while working toward a priceless cause: the saving of our ocean's fish before it's too late.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours very truly,
Jason Kelly
